About the Shulchan Aruch Learning Project
Pirchei Shoshanim and the Shema Yisrael Torah Network provides educational information to anyone interested in learning Halacha and learning more about Judaism, in general. We are committed to helping people learn the Shulchan Aruch by offering a program featuring extensive courses and information. Smicha is attainable for those who are eligible. Regardless of your experience and teachings, we can teach anyone about Torah and Halacha and can also help enlighten anyone on how to properly pray, keep a kosher kitchen, learn Hebrew, and much more. You can complete the Shulchan Aruch program at your own pace and according to your own schedule.
Shema Yisrael’s Revolutionary programs allows everyone to learn Halacha. It was designed from the ground up to support you in your PERSONAL journey into the depths of Judaism – it doesn’t matter if you’ve been studying Torah since you were born or if you are making your first steps. We are committed to help you receive the right teachings for you.
“Discover today how people from around the world are learning Shulchan ARUCH in a stucture which is designed for those who work full time and seek structure and accomplishment in their learning”
There are 2 levels to the project. Everyone is invited to join the first level regardless of their learning background. Our program specifically allows those who have a limited background in Hebrew to participate in the true depth and breath of the Torah. The project is written in English and Hebrew as well as certain programs which include a French, Spanish and Russian translation.
Those who are applying for LEVEL 2 or what is called the Semicha Program must adhere to the following criteria. The applicant must have a written recommendation from a recognized Orthodox rabbi. According to Tradition, Semicha may only be given to Torah Observant Jewish males. Pirchei Shoshanim through its Vaad HaRabbanim insist that this standard be adhered to. In addition, the Talmidim who choose to enter the Semicha portion of the Program must be G-D fearing responsible people. It is at our discretion to block access and terminate either the course or revoke one’s Semicha of any participant if they do not adhere entirely to all precepts of the TORAH and the teaching’s of its Sages while maintaining the high level of personal and moral integrity that is demanded of one who is either learning for Semicha or has achieved that designation.
