Rav Ido Shachar studied in Yeshiva Kol Torah and Chevron.  After his marriage he learned in Kollel Or Eliyahu under the auspices of Beis Medrash Pachad Yitzchok, and then studied dayanus at Yeshivas Nishmas Yisrael.  He was Rosh Kollel for Dayanus Birchas Avraham for 3 years.

He received Yadin Yadin from Rav Matisyahu Sharim in 1995 and from the Rabbanut in 2005.   Currently he serves as an assisstant in the Beis Din Hagadol under Harav Shlomo Amar and is a dayan in the Beit Din for monatery matters of the Rabbanut.  He is in charge of the Gitten course.
